BANDA ACEH - Mayor of Banda Aceh Illiza Sa'aduddin Djamal expressed condolences to Turkey which was hit by a suicide bombing on Tuesday, January 12, 2016. These bombs caused 11 people died and dozens more were injured. Illiza condolence conveyed through a letter addressed to the mayor of Istanbul, Kadir Topbas.
.In The letter, Mayor Illiza expressed deep sorrow for Mayor Kadir Topbas and residents of Istanbul on the terrorist attack near Sulthan Ahmed Mosque.
Illiza said he was very sad because three days ago he along with Banda Aceh delegation was in Turkey and met Kadir Topbas and his staff in order to discuss cooperation between Istanbul and Banda Aceh.
"The mayor could visit and see firsthand the beauty of the mosque and perform prayers in Sulthan Ahmed Mosque at the scene was hit by a bomb," said PR Banda Aceh through a press release received by the editorial on Thursday,
Illiza mentioned, there is no place for terrorism and various other acts of violence in the city and its people.
Illiza also strongly condemned acts of terrorism and other violent acts of terrorism. Illiza said, terrorists will never get a place anywhere in the world.
Together with the residents of Banda Aceh, Illiza always asked for prayers to God for peace and prosperity of the Turkish State. Illiza also hope that Istanbul can overcome this problem and to make Turkey more powerful than ever.
